In July 2023 Polish activists were removed while they were protesting in Warsaw against intensive logging in the Carpathians. Next day Maciej Piasecki tried to cover a new protest for the rights of the activists but he was removed forcibly by police. An officer grabbed his neck and dragged him toward the ground but he was not injured. Piasecki detained him for 6 hours then released him without charges.
