The police detained the environmental journalist Snezhana Inanets and her husband Aliaksandr Lychauka in Minsk. She reported about the pollution of Loshitsa river with savage water. They were charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code – organisation and preparation of activities that grossly violate public order because they allegedly subscribed an extremist Telegram Channel. Inanets and her husband were sentenced to two and a half to three years of restrictions on their liberty (house arrest).
